I am a mother of 3 children. I am currently breastfeeding my 3rd child(5 mths old). When my 1st child was born 12 years ago, I didn’t breastfeed my baby. The reason is because of lack of info on breastfeeding. The social awareness on this topic is virtually unheard of.
As for my 2nd baby, I tried to breastfeed my baby despite facing ALL the negative impact of it. While in the hospital, the nurses were not friendly and helpful in breastfeeding. They feed my baby with milk formula instead. On the other hand, I tried to use breastpump to stimulate milk pumping for my baby.
For my 3rd baby, I decided to completely breastfeed him no matter how hard or difficult it is going to be. Once out of operation room, I breastfeed him throughout the night. At times I have to mix water with breastmilk to feed him full. On day 4th, I suffered nipple sore and cracked on both sides of my breast. So I switched to milk pumping using breastpump. Unfortunately the milk was tainted with blood.
Then finally I managed to recover well from all those bad experience and now able to fully breastfeed my baby with ease. I even have excess of 2 months milk storage in my new freezer.
