  1. vote for correct government and hope for a change of whole nation " view on importance of breastfeeding" by doing an advertisement on TV, billboard . set a strong regulation to private and public sector "allow working mothers to have long maternity leave at least 6 months" + "room for EBM at work place and public area" + "a reserve fund/ tax deduction for working mother for buying EBM accessories"

    1. I like the 6 months maternity leave. Other country they do suppor such law. Yes, hope for a chance. Income tax sound good, buying breastfeeding items deduct from Income tax.

  2. I am suggesting based on my experience.

To have comfortable nursing room for every shopping center, museum, theme park, public library, and other places that possible have below 3 years old child visiting together with parent. I observed that some local shopping center have nursing room and this is good sign.

A comfortable and quality nursing room at least has a comfort chair or sofa for mother, the lighting is soft and comfort for baby because baby eyes always face up to the light, a lockable door (more secure) or curtain (this is fine if this is apply to multiple rooms in a big room) Besides, the air condition is not too cool, not too hot.

I believe there are number of mother will bring breast pump along, if they are not direct feed their baby. Then the nursing room has to have at least 2 power source, just in case any one of them is damage.

Overall, Malaysia still have some gap to improve compare to other country that I visited last year. Their theme park have nursing room and every lady toilet has nappy area, also with the child toilet bowl. It is a wonderful trip to me and my son.

  3. Agree, it take time but it wasn't mission imposible. Mindset of the public is important. Some of the people surrounding me still asking me, why you still breastfeed your son? he already 19 months.. don't let him have this bad habit. 'Bad habit?!' i was so shock at that moment..
